About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Senior Health Care Assistants (SHCAs) to join our healthcare team. As a SHCA, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and well-being. You will also supervise and guide junior HCAs, supporting the delivery of safe and effective care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and support to patients (washing, dressing, feeding, mobility assistance).

• Administer medications (as per training and policies).

• Monitor, record, and report patients’ conditions and changes to nursing staff.

• Support patients with daily activities and emotional well-being.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding policies.

• Mentor and assist junior Health Care Assistants.

• Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant (essential).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Compassionate, patient, and reliable.

• Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Medication administration training (preferred).
